SUNDAY AUGUST 17TH Time Bandits

Free Screening! The final film in KFF’s outdoor movie series at Midtown Linear Park. Terry Gilliam’s Time Bandits follows a young boy who is whisked away by a crew of time traveling thieves. Fantastic, whimsical, and charming, this is a great example of what children’s films can be, and highlights the wild, mad genius of Gilliam’s vision as a filmmaker. The film was financed by George Harrison and features performances from members of Monty Python as well as Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall, and other legacy English actors. This is an all ages event that will feature local food vendors, including Masa Midtown and Little Rye Bakehouse, as well as beer from local nanobrewery Kingston Standard. Each film starts at sunset, and is preceded by a short, original video introduction.
